i am dealing with a battle over the heat the other renter puts it at 60 and we go to 68 so i am wondering what is the leage tepm required by law ?

There is no statute but I am sure there is case law stating that it merely needs to be adequate temperature.....if in doubt contact the state/county and get their advice/code on landlord-tenant relations esp. in regard to services....

I do not know what the law in your state says, but a room temperature kept under 70 degrees can be dangerous to newborns, young children, and the elderly. If you have a baby or toddler (or grandparent) living with you, I think you could successfully argue to keep the temp up. Good luck.
