If you are talking about the current crop of goalies, Broduer is head and shoulders above everyone with the exception of Hasek and Kiprosoff . Some good young goalies in Huet, Ward, Miller, Giguere. Like the one responder saying Fuhr. i lived in Edmonton from 1976-93, watched Fuhr end Winnipeg Jet hopes year after year. When he was on, he was incredible. Tretiak deserves some mention but he played on some great teams as well. Best tandem of goal-tending I ever saw was the First 2 years of NHL expansion in the 1960's. Glenn Hall and Jacques Plante won a Vezina with the expansion St.Louis Blues, took them to the Stanley cup finals against Montreal, 1-0, 2-1 games. Ken Dryden was so cool under pressure, Tony O in Chicago stopping shots with whatever he could. Been some good goalies since the mid 60's. Patrick Roy, I was never a fan of but his record speaks volumes for his ability. Bernie Parent was virtually unbeatable for a couple years as well. Broduer is the best at present, have to go with Dryden as my choice for best ever.

I agree with your choice of Brodeur. Although, I do think he is an Earthling, and not a Martian. :)
Seriously, Patrick Roy WAS the best money goaltender, you have to respect his stats. Hasek - if you'd asked about 5 years ago - was the best, but is falling, fast. He'll only play with a strong team in front of him.
Turco is ok, but unfortunately, as an East Coaster, we don't see his game alot. Fleury is not even on the same page, yet.
Of the Goalies NOT on your list, that SHOULD be - Miikka Kiprusoff of the Flames may be the best today, along with Dwayne Roloson of the Oilers & the Hurricanes Cam Ward. These three carry their teams, and deserve consideration, especially when you consider what the Oilers did last year, before losing Roloson. Kiprusoff helped the Lightning win a cup, left the following year, and Tampa Bay suffered horribly. Kipper then takes the Flames to the cup finals. Ward won the cup last year for Carolina, almost single handedly when Eric Cole went down to injury.
That's why these sports questions are so much fun. There are so many different opinions.
But again, from your list, I'd go with Brodeur to - the one from Earth that is.

Hasek WAS good, but he's too old now. I'd give him an A overall, but a C+ this year. His stats this season are from his team, not his goaltending. Brodeur is always going to win games for you, especially in the playoffs B+. Fleury is too up and down so he gets a C-. Turco is great... sometimes B-. Miller holds an A-, I just don't trust his perfomance yet. If I could pick off the list, I'd take Vokoun. The guy shut out Columbus in his second game back wearing a cast on his thumb with torn ligaments! An A for this season!

Kipper people, c'mon no doubt Miikka is the man.
But from your list I would say that Fleury and Miller are on their way but certainly not there yet. As far as money in the bank, Marty Brodeur has gotta be the guy. Although Hasek can still be superb you never know how long he'll last before his groin or whatever else goes. Turco historically chokes at crunch time.

Right now it's Brodeur but that's a personal bias since I'm a Devils fan. He certainly has the stats to back it up (leads the league in saves, 2nd in GAA at 2.03, most shutouts). Kiprusoff (also Top 5 in saves, GAA, and shutouts) and Giguere should also be on this list. Can you believe Giguere's record this year is 23-4-5? That's nuts.

Out of that list that you put up, I definitely think Dominik Hasek. He's so good its crazy. Statistically though, I believe its Martin Brodeur. I would not even consider putting Marc-Andre Fleury in there...he is no way in the same class as Marty Brodeur or Dominik Hasek. And you spelled Martin Brodeur wrong.

Now now, what about cristobal huet? finished last season with the best save % in the league and is in the top 3 again this season.
I know he's still not fully proven.. but come on where's the consideration for huet?
But from your list i'd have to go with Marty Brodeur... keeps getting better with age... i think he has 7 shutouts this season which in the league now a days is hard to hit with all the penalties and offence generated on the powerplay

Domonic Hasek, Marty Brodure and and ANDREW RAYCROFT of the Tronto Maple Leafs. He's been pretty hot during the NHL Season.

Out of your 'given' list I'd rate them as follows:
1) Brodeur carried teams that couldn't score to the cup...
2) Hasek as much as I hate this guy...he's a performer
3) Turco....phenomenal in reg. season..but needs to translate this into post-season success....
4) Miller, could be better that Turco...but is still young and has a long career ahead yet.
5) Fleury.....had scouts drooling over him and high selection...but has not lived up to the hype in my opinion

One way to show your respect to "Martian Brodure" is to spell his name right. Martin Brodeur.
And yes, he is the best by a long shot.
