Mostly as soon as they go there and start acting like depraived animals, I don't even acknowledge thier existence anymore. If I find that they are disrupting normal conversation in a forum because others aren't ignoring them, I report them to the moderator or I find another place to go.. There are still a few places where the jerks and idiots don't invade. They are getting harder to find, but they are there.

The best thing to do is to just not answer them. I've had this happen to me a number of times and they won't stop because it shows their dominance of the message board. You just have to ignore their ignorance and move on because otherwise the argument will never end. Just end it by letting them look stupid because if you attempt to jump back on them, you'll lose some appeal on the board with the other more intelligent users.

You can always report them for abuse, and if they get nailed for abuse enough times they're no longer allowed to use this forum (that is, of course, until they create a new account and come back to do the whole thing again). If reporting them for abuse doesn't do it, don't ignore them -- discredit them wherever and whenever possible so others on the forum will learn that they are online bullies and will unite to get rid of them. That's democracy in action...

Do not cast your pearls of wisdom before swine, unless you want the pearls to be trampled on by them, and then to be trampled on yourself.
