News item;Professor aziz sheikh of Edinbugh univerity is advocating special nhs facilities to treat muslim patients, it appears their are 1,6million muslims out of a total of an estimated 60 million? other folk in this country, who should be treated differently; will this apply to all other faiths also? instead of intergrating this man is suggesting segregation surely;what are other foks opinions on this subject,

Sounds a bit off to me. How would it be funded? Would there be one place all the Muslims had to travel to in order to be treated or does he expect lots of Muslim clinics, and is he going to pay for it? Because, at a bit under 2% of the population the health services would be idle most of the time if they were spread out. Logistically it would be a nightmare. And, as you say, the Hindus and other religions then would want their own and rightly too. We would have an incredible situation. The idea is ridiculous.If he finds the NHS unacceptable to him on religious grounds, let him go private or travel to a Muslim country for treatment.
