yes, you can see it in small town America,people act up dress and act like hood gang bangers --they are the rock stars they get the money the girls the fame,they are glorified in the movies--the Elvis of the time.The world is full of sheep that want to be different,and end up being the same.

it is not about violent programming but about how we self-discipline ourselves and self-regulate example, by playing so-called voilent games seldomly and at the so-called right time.
so far, to avoid playing "violent" games too much, i tend to focus more on my work schedules and having a good sleep and rest instead of gaming.
