My office has blocked certain websites from our computers. I was told that several others here are going to www.freebieproxy.com and going to the sites they want. They are saying it cannot be traced. I understand that the IT guy may not be able to see the actual site you accessed but can't he tell that you are using a proxy site to bypass the firewall and access the blocked sites???

He can tell for sure that you are using a proxy server, IF he checks it. Usually if you raise no suspicion, than he never checks. Also if he founds out that you used a proxy, still he can't say what sites you visited, unless he request a copy of the proxy server's log file. If you want to have some anonymity, than make sure you clear your browser's history, form and search data, download history, cookies. These can trade you off very-very easily.

Good luck!

I can't vouch a 100% that a smart IT guy can't figure it out, but you should be fine using it.
