what shal i do? im so nervous and i hate both the dances were doing and i can quite seem to get anything right. im so worried about it. x

first thing to do is to calm down! relax. you're not gonna get anywhere by panicking, so relax. i know that sounds really hard, and your thinking - how do i do that? but just think about it - what really calms you down? do that. go and have a long long bath with lots of bubblebath. sleep lots. whatever makes you feel relaxed.

the next thing to do is to keep remembering: you are good at this. you can do it! i know it sounds really odd, especially as you say you feel as though you can't get anything right, but think about it: your teacher wouldn't have put you in for the exam if she didn't think you could pass it, would she? i'm sure you'll be fine.

generally, when people say 'oh i'm really terrible at this' it's because it's you and you can see all your little tiny faults that noone else notices. i had to speak in front of a whole load of people the other day, and i thought i was stuttering like anything, but all these people kept telling me i'd done really well. thinking you're terrible is just a part of nerves and all these mistakes you're making (or think you are) are probably down to nerves, so don't listen to it too much - you are really good - go for it!

if you hate the dances, that's tough luck this time - but you only need to do them for another 2 weeks! next time, try and pick something you like, and you'll have much more fun practising - i guarantee it!

lastly, i just want to say: calm down, relax, try not to get stressed about it. you're going to be absolutely wonderful! :-) if it's your first, you're going to be nervous, but try and have fun at the same time, cos that's what dance is all about!

Goodness me,I can imagine how you feel.It must be pretty nerve-wracking standing there in front of the examiners .The best advice that I can give you ,would be to imagine them in their underwear!!I know that sounds silly,but it will take the edge off the way you are feeling.Also,try to not use the word's' I hate both these dances' If you say that ,then the chances are ,it will show in your work and that wont do any good to the way you are feeling about the exam.Its a vicious circle.Try saying instead ,I don't really feel that theses dances are the best I have ever performed,but,I am doing this to make a higher grade,and when it's done.its done,and I don't have to do theses anymore!best of luck to you,and please let me know how you got on!!!

First of all, calm down.

Maybe you are making mistakes because you are nervous and not because you don't know the piece or because you are a bad dancer.

The judges don't bite. Trust in you and show them what you got.

I thought my first dance exam was going to be bad but honestly it's not, just practice and try and keep calm.

first of all stop worryin after you done da exam u'll probly b like dat woz so fun i wonna do it again. nd just coz u h8 da dances u hav 2 make it look like y love em so smile (showing los of teeth) nd look above the examiners head dis gives u good focus

try some "rescue remedy" from health shop - use for a few days leading up to the exam it will take the edge off your nerves.

The best thing to do is immagine every1 in theire pants (or naked) that way the'll seem more imbarassed than u good luck hope you do well !!!

try to relax and give it all you can even if you hate the dances. just focus on what your doing. GOOD LUCK!
