I just had a miscarriage and got pregnant right after with no period in between. I have been getting a lot of lower back pain here and there sometimes worse than others especially when I sit or lay down. I thought to myself well as long as I am not getting cramps I should be okay. Once every few days I would get a little cramp that lasted a few seconds. I tried to be possitive but then last night I went pee and I got a really sharp cramp that lasted a few seconds. Same thing when I went pee again later. This scares me. I have had no bleeding and right now my back just feels a little achy and no cramps since last night. I cant get to the doctor for another couple of weeks due to insurance issues. Am I freaking out over nothing or could this really be happening all over again?

You may be experiencing symptoms of a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI). You don't mention any bleeding so a UTI is a good possibility with the symptoms you describe. I know insurance is an issue, but you should at least call the doctor and tell them what is going on. They may just have you come in for a urine test and check for a UTI. That would be less than the actual visit. Your other option is to ask your local social services office if there is a free clinic or a Planned Parenthood clinic that you could go be checked at for nothing or a very small fee. It is important to rule out UTI because those infections can promote miscarriage. It is common for pregnant women to get UTI's because of the hormonal changes, the pressures from the growing uterus and because of the changes in the immune system. Make sure you keep your self well hydrated and please call someone soon. Even if you need to work out a payment arrangement with your doctor or even go to an Urgent Care or ER it is worth it to treat any problem as soon as possible. Take care and have a healthy baby!

Why cant you have cramps?
Every other pregnant woman in her first trimester gets painful period like cramps.... I know I got them so bad that I took medicine and wore a pad thinking my period was coming.
Spotting is also generally okay.
Put it all together and the vast majority of pregnancies have those things, including back pain. Some women have regular pregnancy cramps and spotting, and suddenly miscarry for unknown reasons. Either stress or the embryo wasnt viable.
Its especially normal to have cramps over or around your bladder in the first part of pregnancy when ever you empty yourself. Some times its sign of a UTI, but usually its just that the bladder gets irritated from the size and weight of the growing uterus when it was full of urine, and now that its small again it aches. A lot of pregnant women complain about that. I had that off and on until I was 5 months.
Try to remain calm and wait for your appointment.

In pregnancy anything is possible. When i was pregnant with my son i had horrible pains also. I was very sick and went to see doctors many times. These pains happen because your body is making many changes to accommodate the baby. Mine lasted for the first 3 months. If you are very concerned i advice you to seek professional advise as soon as possible. Lower back pains is expected in pregnancy, you just have to rest alot, breathe easy and relax. Try not to worry or work yourself too much, and in a couple months it will be all worth it. Good luck.

Well I had cramps and back pains alot with my son and it was due to him growing. Can you go to the hospital? If you cant, just take it vey easy till you can see a doctor. Try not to move so much, and have WARM not hot baths. Just make yourself as comfortable as you can. Dont take it as nothing though, always be worried since your in a fragile state. But dont be overly worried. Just try to get to a doctor as soon as you can.
Take Care. I hope all works out. Best wishes.

If your lower back pain is acute, it could be something in the kidneys (maybe due to an urinary tract infection, common when you are pregnant). Some symptoms of urinary tract infection are: urges to urinate (but that is also the case when you are pregnant!) and burning sensation when you pee. If this is the case, waste no time because you are just hurting your kidney.

Talk to your doctor! Insurance will pay for more visits if it's due to complications. Your doctor will code it differently. Don't be afraid to call him. Don't be afraid to go to emergency room if need be. You and the life inside you come first. Call now! If it's nothing you can just smile about it the rest of the day.

I fyou are cramping wityh no heavy bleeding you are fine. The cramping can last from 4 weeks to 8 weeks due to your uterus and ligaments expanding. This is totally normal. It can be worse if you are petite or underweight.

my aunt just miscarried at 6 weeks. she went to the doctor they did the procedure and told her if she has sex make sure her hubby uses a condom for the next 2 months otherwise if she gets prego before then her likleyhood to miscarry is ay a 90% chance. she is 37 though so i dont know if that makes a difference. i was just talking to her about it yesterday so....
GOOD LUCK AND I HOPE EVERYTHING IS OK.

It could be, but I'll pray it isn't. It definately doesn't sound normal and I would check for a clinic or SOMETHING in your area where you can go get checked out. I really hope you and the baby are all right.

Sounds like you could possibly have a kidney infection or UTI. If not taken care of it can cause problems with the pregnancy.
