I'm not sure if I would call that an invasion of privacy. Sounds more like breaking and entering.

In my State, that could be considered a misdemeanor crime of Harassment or because property was taken, Theft.

It's a tortious act but not necesasrily a criminal act. That means than any redress you would have is through a civil suit.

It really depends on how bad it is. If its school related like that then you can involve the school itself and make it bigger.
