Yes it can. It can also affect your marriage. You need to remember that sex is a major part of a marriage for most people. And if your man stops wanting to have sex with his over weight wife, it will start to send the marriage down that road to divorce. If he can't get excited about the idea of making love to you, he will start looking for someone who will. Is that what you want?.
Some men don't care and will not make an issue of it. But it sounds like it's an issue for you husband, so I would work on loosing a few pounds.

Honey 40 pounds is quite a lot. Yes it can have an effect on your sex life. He may still love you but don`t see you as attractive anymore. Also it can affect your own libido. He sounds supportive so why not give the exercising a try, if he wants to join in, and you might find that your both your new fit bodies are suddenly needing more sweet loving than ever. Good luck and do it for you.

40 lbs isn't too bad and you can use the weight fairly easily with exercise. Weight gain can make you less attractive to your husband. Obviously, that may affect your sex life with your husband. But just start exercising, you will feel better about yourself and more be confident and you will act and feel sexy. At the same time, you will be losing weight.

Depends on the individuals involved. I've known men who have said that I was too skinny at a size 6. I've also known men who think size 6 is fat. Then there are the fellas to whom size doesn't matter so long as your fit. And god bles the boys who like a little jiggle in your wiggle. Different strokes for different folks.

You are definitely ahead of the game if your guy is willing to excercise with you. But if he just thinks you are too overweight and wants to tell you how to do while he sits on the couch and watches, no way!

Most definitely weight can affect a person's sex life. Not only the desire your partner has for you, but it affects just how desirable you feel. When you add in all the adverse effects of added weight, it is obvious that sexual activity, like all other activities, will be affected.

Yes it can, it also will affect your long term health.

Do yourself a favor and appreciate the fact that your husband was nice about it and that he wants you two to jointly do something about it. Get a handle on your weight earlier is way better than later for all concerned.

I am sorry. I am not a man but I wanted to answer this question. I think it affects your sex life in a way that you may not be as flexible and energetic as your husband may want you to be. Also the weight may be an issue if you are "on top".

it's possible. weight gain can have a significant effect on self esteem and self confidence and with low self esteem and low self confidence...the sex drive can be low. count your lucky stars and blessings honey. your husband is willing to support you through this weight loss. take him up on his offer. he loves you. he really REALLY loves you. :o)
