if u are on a pc use ctrl+alt+del to get to the dialog box which contains the running processes [and programs, or apps, that host em ], just highlight the process or app or script or whatever u wanna terminate and click on the right button, shall say something like quit, terminate, kill or end process, on a mac force quit the .txt editor by pressing apple+alt+esc
