I know they (age 10 and 12) will be absolutely bored in the land of their birth. They've been away for nearly six years and no longer speak Polish. Are there some places indoor where we could take them for an afternoon to let some energy go? I've heard of a place called Kolorado (sp)? Where is that?
Also, what are some interests in those cities you could recommend?
Janky!

There are lots of indoor swimming pools, pretty much one for every major town/city. Both Warsawa and Poznan have botanical/zoological gardens, too.

There's a huge mall exclusively for kids in downstown Warsawa that I know of... it's called Smyk, I believe??

And since they are on the older side, I believe they will appreciate the Wawel castle in Krakow!

There are a couple of zoos in Poznan.

I have been to Krakow and its beautiful but for kids maybe they would be bored! One thing that may be educational is a trip to Auscwitz which is near Krakow - there are lots of tours. It;s a heart breaking and very moving experience but would be a very worthy one for them?
Or a horse and carriage ride through Krakow? When I was there , there were street entertainers too.
