I wasn't aware of that, either. However, the article I found stated that Rosie O'Donnell donated $3 million to be spread over the next three years to provide emergency child care services to victims of Katrina. I personally think the woman is loud-mouthed and obnoxious, but this time she put her money where her mouth is. Good for Rosie!

Celebrity gossip, tabloids, the 'dirt', is all BS and it's only what people are given and told (depending on where they get information). People wanna see the 'bad' side - it keeps them interested and gives them something to talk about. If all you ever read was how much celebrities went out of their way, you'd grow tired and bored quickly and would think, 'God, they are all goodie-goodies! Where're the rebels and bad asses!?"
That's why Lindsay Lohan is a 'drunk', Britney Spears is a 'terrible mother', Rosie O'Donnell is a 'gross pig', and Michael Richards is a 'racist'. It keeps them in the public eye - good or bad.
It's all crap!
Let's not forget about the minuscule entertainment that has brought millions joy. But let's focus on the time they made a mistake.
(SIGH!)
PA-LEASE!

People do "good things" to make themselves feel better for the times when their "real" attitudes come flying out of their mouths.
One thing may not have anything to do with the other, but it made YOU question her, didn't it?
It's all PR.
Rosie had bad press on the View before the Donald incident, and has had several different failures in her career.
Donald probably has too, he just had the money to, publicly, make them "go away".

Oh I love Rosie.. because she is so kind hearted to minorities and those below the poverty lines in America.. and of course people don't recognize that at all..
but well before it was cool to donate to charities she was doing it.
All the same, the comb over is still .. EXTREMELY funny.

You make a good point. Unfortunately in this society we live in, very few people care about the good things. Most people just want to hear about the gossip and bad things. It's sad that the bad things is what fuels the fire.

Try not to focus so much negative energy on people you will never meet in person. It's draining on you and gives you bad karma - negatism simply draws in negatism for a very basic reason: people see you're negative and react to that trait. Also, the person you're aiming these negative thoughts to doesn't even know what you're upset about and isn't even affected by them, so what's the use?
I try to harbor no ill feelings towards people I've never met while my brother less than two years older than me carries a grudge like it's a ten pound block of gold - years and years of hatred for someone who's "done him wrong". If you were to see pictures of us, he looks older than our father with all the wrinkles and dark circles around his eyes. I often pass for up to 15 or more years younger than I am and was last carded at 42 years! (I didn't have my ID with me so they refused to serve me - and it was a private party in a hotel room at a convention! LOL)
Stay away from negatism and always look on the bright side of things - there's ALWAYS something good to come out of every situation, even if it's simply the fact that "it could have been worse" and wasn't!

Hi, Deemo!
You can be sure that, as much as the donation helped, it was made not to benefit Louisiana, but to lower Rosie's tax liability.
It was also a nice publicity move.

thats the same thing I say. People focus on all the bad things some people so, so the good things they do go unseen. And it not fair how some people can do horrible things and do hardly nothing for anybody, but they still get treated like heroes. What's up with that?

There are a lot of good deeds that are done that are overlooked about her and many others like her. Leave it to celebrities to be childish... lolol.. personally i think her statements about Donald were dead on and her initial "attack" was her opinion based on facts about his life.. not slander or name calling.. Donald just slung mud.. poor form really... he can find nothing better to do than call her fat.. how shallow.. why does this man have power? YUCK!

I agree and this childish public name-calling that they are doing is so juvenile. It would seem that they would both be too busy to spend so much time with journalists just to act like 2nd graders. I am not a fan of either one and it will be interesting to see if either or both of them grow up and take the high road and just let it go.
