IT'S A GIRL!! I stopped asking my relatives about what they think of names because the feedback is rarely positive. I am being induced on 1/16/07 if I don't go into labor first and we STILL can't find a name!!! Here is the list of names we like so far...

Matea (my husband's favorite - not sure what I think of it)

Callie/Caleigh

Maya

Kori

Addie/Adi/Adie (probably my least favorite. We liked Addison until I found out how ridiculously popular it is. So, we tried shortening it.)

Hayden (I LOVE this, but I know it's a pretty popular name for boys right now!)

We want an "M" name for either 1st or middle name because of a family member who recently passed. I am open to suggestions. I like names that are different and a little rare, but don't sound like you're trying too hard.

I have seen your other post, and Im not sure if you are having a boy or girl?? But, I just wanted to say that Callie is the best name here! My daughter is Callie (nn for Calista). She's 7 and I always tell myself how I am so happy I choice that name! Callie sounds sweet, playful, but can still be used on a woman (ex. Kelly) and sounds very attractive. Bonus, Callie is not overused. I think Matea sounds very strange, Maya is OK. Mia is nicer and more recognizable as a name. Kori is very 80's, don't use this. I almost named my 2nd daughter Addison/Addie. Good thing you are probably not using it since it sounds very hard. It's harsh and won't age well. Hayden, please do not use this! I like unisex names, but Hayden is not unisex. It is ALL boy, and your daughter will be teased and she'd hate her name.
Callie would be the best choice, because it's exactly what you said, "rare, but not trying too hard". It's elegant, but not overbearing. Callie sounds the cleanest, and it's easy for a child to learn, say, spell, and is pleasant-sounding when she introduces herself to others later in life.

I like Hayden Matea. Sounds really pretty. I love unisex names. My oldest dtr is Morgan and my youngest would have been Hayden but hubby wanted more of a girlie name so we went with Hayley instead.

I love the name Hayden too. For a girl why not Jayden or Jaden?? I think those are nice girl names. Matea sounds too grandmotherly. Good luck and congrats!!!!!!!!!

You have till the day you leave the hospital to choose a name, actually in some places a little longer, relax, get a list of names together and spend some time with your new baby in the hospital take your time picking a name, remember baby will have to deal with name for the rest of its life so choose carefully.

The man usually makes the first move. Even if she’s interested in you, the most she’s likely to do is to stand near you or make eye contact a couple times to encourage you to approach her. Read here https://tr.im/bxKFh

Once you see her, don’t hesitate. 10 minutes from now she might not be there or another guy might have beaten you to the punch. Plus, women can tell when you’re working up the courage to approach. Shyness might be endearing in movies and romance novels, but it doesn’t work in the real world. Approach right away, even if you don’t know what you’re going to say

I think your approach to chosing a name is wrong. Do any of the names you are considering have any significance other than being "different"? Which in accuality, they are not--it's a current fad.
Why not consider a good solid ancesteral name or a variation thereof. Go for dignity not cuteness.
Whatever you decide, bear in mind the child will have to live with it's chosen name for a lifetime not just as a youngster. Too often I've heard adults say they dislike their names.
