my foundation make up says I'm "Blushing Ivory"
I'm beige-ish.
My 9 year old son asked why some people are 'black' and other's are 'white' and still some are 'brown'. It seems like a simple enough question, and I thought and said "Well honey, everyone is actually a shade of brown, some are very light brown, or beige and some are very dark brown, but never black." then I began to wonder aloud..."I do wonder why God made us shades of brown and not shades of another color; he could have made us shades of blue, or shades of green. I wonder why shades of BROWN" and my 9 year old actually answered the question simply and very profoundly...
"Mom, it's cause God started us out making us of dirt."

I'm a little pale at the moment... but once i get back outdoors, i'll turn tannish/light brown... i really need to get out more...
