Specifically, sexual orientation; which includes transgender, bisexuality, heterosexuality, homosexuality, asexuality etc.

Does this come under gender studies? I'm only 13, but I have immense interest in this field & would like to plan for what I'll study when I go to college/university.

Thanks if you're capable of NOT giving me stupid answers but answers that I'll appreciate. I'll reward you with 15 points. :))

I believe you can...however it is at one of those more liberal major universities....like Berkeley. But I'm sure that it would probably fall under a different name also.

But even though you have an immense interest in it, you might want to consider this.....can you make a good career out of it? For example, I know a guy who has a huge interest in arrowheads. However, since he couldn't get a job as an "arrowhead inspector", he became a geologist and makes extra money on his arrowhead hobby.

So look at the job market first....if you want to become a psychologist who specializes in various sexual preferences, then you might have a good career.

Yes there is. It may be called by other names, but sexology is one of them, human sexuality and gender studies are other names. It also may be included in a subdivision of a psych curriculum or other disciplines. You might want to look up the website of the University of Minnesota Institute on Human Sexuality. Most likely to work in the field you will need to consider going to graduate school.
