I have 3 children so I know to move them up a size in diapers if they have blow-outs, but the watery breastfed baby poop leaks out anyway depending on how the baby is positioned when the BM happens. I do the cold water rinse on the excess and a pre-wash in the washing machine in cold water with detergent but I still seem to end up with the faint yellow stain on baby's clothes. I'm sure there is a product that will get it out if I treat it right away, I just don't want to buy everything I see to try to find the right one. HELP!!!!!

sunlight works great-if you have it available. I use cloth diapers and the sun will take out any poo stains that we have on them.

Congrats on your new baby! The Amway prewash stuff and presoak worked wonders for my 2 babes, but it's hard to come by and expensive, (unless you know a dealer close to you which I don't anymore) I now swear by the spray n wash Dual power stuff. It is relatively inexpensive and works great on EVERYTHING, including old set in stains. I soaked year old grass stains from my 2 yr old's pants (white pants) and it took the stains right out, and didn't leave the yellowish tinge that bleach does. It also took out breast fed poop stains from all my white diaper shirts. If they are fresh stains pre-treat for 5 mins, if not let them sit with the stuff on the stain for about a day. Good luck.

Go to your local dollar store and buy a product called "Awesome"
I used this on my now 4 month old daughters clothes after a few of the small explosions she has had.She is also breastfed. It is Non toxic, and is harmless, you can drink it and it wont hurt you.I use this for almost everything, and started using it because my 4 yr old likes to help me clean, and I wanted something that would not "burn" her skin, and would be safe for her to use.And It only cost a dollar, so it is perfect..It took a red lipstick stain out of a chair, and you can never tell where it was, and there are no tell-tell signs of baby poop on any of my white shirts, or on Bailees' clothes!

who-hooo i know what thats like-- and we called those "blowouts" too! my daughter was breastfed and would have such a bad blowout it would go out of the sides of the diaper and up her back as well!
i would just rinse the clothes off asap and if i couldnt (if i was out for a few hours) i would rinse it off later and then just rub in some Shout Ultra Gel with the built in brush. if i got to it right away id just let it soak for a few hours but if i was in one of those away from home situations-- id put the shout on it as soon as i could then leave it for a day and then wash it.
whit was such a pretty color on my daughter... and because Shout Ultra Gel got EVERYTHING out ill have all those pretty little outfits for my next one!
good luck and congrats!!

I swear by Oxi-clean. Use one scoop in a bucket of cold water let the items soak overnight or the weekend if possible. You can also add a touch of non-clorine bleach to this mix if you have a tough stan. I have gotton, permanent marker, blood, grass, poopy, juice, and all sorts of stuff out with this stuff.

Great job on nursing your little on mom!! You are giving your baby a head start he will ride on his whole life.

The Dreft Spray pretreater is my miracle in a bottle ~ it worked on the breastmilk poopy as well as whatever my older children (including my hubbie) could manage to get on their clothes. Good luck

Amway/quixtar has a detergent just for babies. Their SA8 should work too.
