My son took a crayola marker (the washable kind) and scribbled all over a table chair. Warm water and soap are not working. I've only been able to get the marks to fade. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Crayola markers are water based markers they should wash off with mild detergent and water. If readily available soaps around the house don't work go to the supermarket and get some Murphy's Oil Soap. It's made for cleaning and moisturizing wood floors. It's the only wood soap I know of and It's always worked for me. Good Luck.

You could give OrangeGlo wood cleaner a try or even spray Oxyclean. Both seem to take most stains out of anything but OrangeGlo works on wood really well. Even the Mr. Clean erasers might work.

Sandpaper...seriously, Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Use the corner and just on the spot where the marker is. Wipe in firm strokes in one direction, do not rub in circular motion or hard strokes as this will remove the lacquer.
