The only way to know for sure is a pregnancy test but odds are she is not if she has started her period. Condoms are a bit less romantic but they are a necessity especially if are not married. They not only prevent pregnancy but they help prevent STDs which is everywhere now. Use a condom. You two will also rest easier ecah month because you will not have to anxiously await the "period" every month. I am sure you will wonder a little but it will take A LOT of the anxiety out of the monthly pregnant scare. Maybe she should also consider getting birth control for herself as well. She can go to the health department if she does not feel comfortable going to the family Dr.

For the most part the period is a good sign of not being pregnant.
However, the best thing to do is to take a test if you are still uncertain. Some women have their period their entire pregnancy so there is no set rule. Go to a drug store and get any test, they all are activated by a certain hormone the women's body emitts when pregnant so any brand is fine.
It sounds like this will not be your last scare if you continue to have unprotected sex. Pregnancy aside there are some pretty severe consequences for females that contract STD's. Since women have internal organs effected you can pay for your actons years from now.
There are so many birth control methods, talk to your doctor about what is right for you and stop playing the odds, the last thing you want is a child that neither you or your partner are prepared for. Not to mention catching an STD that will make it difficult for you to have children later down the road when you are ready for a family. Good luck and get some protection.

she is probably not pregnant but many woman DO get there period while they are pregnant. As a matter of fact I bled during my current pregnancy and I am now 39 weeks.. My sister also bled the first 3 months and have healthy babies. after she is done bleeding have her a take a test just to be on the safe side. Like I said she probably isnt pregnant, but it has happened. And yes you do need to start using birth control if you dont want a baby.

I think it's safe to say that she's not pregnant. If it was just a "little" period (spotting blood only), then I would still be concerned. I "spotted" the 1st month I was pregnant so I thought I wasn't pregnant. I later found out that I got pregnant a month before the date I thought because the "spotting" wasn't a real period. If there's cramping, heavy flow, etc... you're safe. Take a deep breath.

Sorry to say no, having a period does not mean she is not preg for sure. I have had six pregnancy's and a couple of them had a period for the first month into it, Dr told me it was my body cleaning it self out, so to speak. If she has one the next month then your pretty safe. There are SO MANY kinds of contraception's out there today, you don't have to use condoms if having sex with the same person who you know is safe from other catchy things if you know what I mean, maybe go to your local planned parenthood if you have one, the two of you, and ck out other options. Or maybe talk to your parents or brothers or sisters for input on different protections, if you have them. Yes Dear the best way to not get someone preg. is to use SOME KIND OF PROTECTION so be responsible and search out info on whats best for the two of you before it is too late, baby's are wonderful but allot of responsibility, planned baby's are the best. Best wishes to you.

You are being irresponsible in freaking out that your girlfriend MIGHT be pregnant which I doubt now that her period has started. If you are worried about not feeling the sex then worry more if you have a kid to take care of for the next 18 or 19 years for having unprotected sex.
If you don't want to wear a condom, do not have sex unless she is on birth control.

I had a normal period for the first 2 months of my first pregnancy. If you are that worried about it, have her take a home test to be sure....and make sure you use protection EVERY time if you want to avoid this anxiety in the future.

RELAX! She is NOT pregnant!
Now, find a form of birth control that both of you like.
Is there some reason that she cannot take the pill? There is also the shot. She can have that and not have to worry for a whole month!
Good luck and I am happy for you that she was not pregnant.

Maybe if you got married, you wouldn't have to worry about her getting pregnant. Even if you do use protection, it's not 100% positive in protecting against pregnancy.

I had my full period one month , and was already pregnant.
Sometimes it happens that you have your period as normal, and you are already pregnant, like it happend to me.
So to make sure, tell her to take a test anyway!!so you know 100%
