Why do you hate Americans?

I hate Americans because this nation is always poking it's nose into the affairs of others. When there is an earthquake, we are there .... first, and with the most. When there is a flood or a tsunami, we are there. When people are oppressed, we are there, sacrificing the lives of our young men and women, denying their chance for long lives with a family, kids and grandkids. I hate America because we have a system to care for the indigent, even those who are too sorry to take care of themselves.
I hate America because we live in a democracy instead of under tyranny. We help our neighbors when they need help. We forget about politics when our neighbor is in need. We build homes for the ones who need them. We feed the homeless, give care to the sick and allow people to worship in their own way, even allowing the unbelievers to express their opinions. I hate America because it is the land of the free and the home of the brave.
There are those who would take advantage of this great nation and it's sense of fairness;those who don't play by the rules, and those that would tear down instead of build up. There are those who would criticize this nation, yet are risking life and limb to become a part of it. The communists built a wall to keep people in. We are having to build a wall to keep people OUT. We will never do it, because we are still the melting pot of the world and the dream of every living person for a better life. To those who would criricize this great land I would ask them, "Why do YOU hate America ?"

You can't 'hate' a nation, but Americans have the habit of being arrogant, rude and boastful when they come to our country. In America, it is quite acceptable to say when ordering a drink for example, 'Give me a coke'. It is downright rude in this country, we still expect good manners and forget that Americans aren't being deliberately rude. It also doesn't help that the American president is a war monger and our prime minister is permanently up his ****. We find that hard to deal with and are embarrassed by this. Sorry.

i dont hate americans.
i think something important for you to understand is that america has a really bad world face at the moment, which isnt truly accurate to what america is like.
in britain (and presumably other european countries), the media try to make americans look stupid, overweight, free-speech-less, fanatically christian, trigger happy, racist etc etc..
the list goes on..
the media always like to have an enemy to the country in this way, it sells news!
this is WHY some people hate americans.
the solution to the problem - i dont know. it should get better in time when the media stop depicting them badly.
just remember that not all people generalise to you guys and not everyone believes the hype.
so keep being yourself and be proud of your heritage!

I don't mind Americans. It's 'americanisation' and most american culture I dislike. However there are always exceptions and a lot of English people and culture are pretty bad too! Maybe I'm antisocial ;)

What I mean - there is good and bad in all countries. I dislike the whole 'hollywood' thing and the lack of walking in parts of America, though it has a lot of good points also.

I think a lot of peole hate America (and thus Americans) for the arrogance by which they approach foreign policy - feeling they can interfere in other country's business whenever it suits. Ironic for a country which was so slow to enter both World Wars (another reason to be disliked, by the way)

And funny enough i didn`t even know i hated them until i came on this forum .If you start reading the answers Americans give and realise the contempt they treat the rest of the world with , you wouldn`t need to ask this question
That is if there are any questions they havn`t had deleted for no reason except its not the same opinion as theirs

Arabian people do not hate American people, but they hate the American government because it make wars just to kill there children and vanish the Muslim people and there is some Arabian countries that some people are not Muslims.

I don't hate them at all, in fact I would love to go to America and live there for a while
Everybody keeps saying I will start hating them if I do, but I do not think so
