Because they can't get married legally at that age.

Main answer, freedom ..................... by parents & 2nd their friends & 3rd the enviroment, well now days girls are let to be free to try anything they want and internet, movie cd's & other influnce also, well loosing their virginity before marrige is not a healty hing espeacially if you loose it when you are really young cause when you get married and age around 28 to 32, then you will be bored of sex but that is the age where you need to be actively in sex as it will make you healtier and it will help you control your body weight and shape. So be smart and enjoy later rather then regreting later.

Marriage is something new to the human race.
As long as humans have been recording history, females and males often experimented with sex prior to whatever their culture deemed appropriate and acceptable for long-term one-on-one or one-on-many relationships. Some human cultures/religions condone and expect promiscuity among all of the people in their community. However, at present most human communities/cultures include strong religious and humanitarian tenets intended to curb promiscuity and pre-marital sex. With the rise of ST D's, some of which can be fatal or damage the ability to produce children in the future, experimental sex is risky and can cause lifelong health problems.
So, to answer your question, many girls (and boys) are not concerned about losing their virginity before getting married. Many others(most?) choose to wait until they are older and ready to make a life-time commitment to one person.

Believe me when I say there are so many parents like myself that ask this question. I asked myself that when I turned 29 (yes this is coming from a now 37year old). I lost my virginity when I was sixteen, and when I finally met the man I wanted to spend a lifetime with, he made love to me mentally, physically and emotionally and oh how I wish that he could have been my first or that I had kept my virginity until I knew that I was mentally ready. If you haven't you will ask, why did I give away something so precious to someone who really didn't give a damn.

I don't think this is a new phenomenon-if you look back at the fifties for instance, girls were not the puritanical beings we thought they were-it's just that it was not broadcast, as it was considered to be shameful. Birth-control is probably a contributing factor, as becoming pregnant in this day-and-age isn't necessarily a consequence. It was once common practice for girls of affluent families who had became pregnant to go away for a while, give the baby up for adoption, then return to the family (if the family was accepting). Today's society as a whole is less discriminating then it once was, regarding a female's sexuality.

Well us women have sexual desires just like you men do. We go out on a date then after heavy kissing and rubbing we get excited too. It is a hard thing to turn down just like it is for you men. It depends on the age of the girl if she is really young then it could be pressure or just curiousity. If you are old enough then why does it have to be a self asteem issue because men do it all the time and no body says well that man goes out with all those women and has sex with all these girls he must have a poor self asteem. We all have sexual desires.

Question that deserves applause!!! but if virginity also holds for guys, i wd like to comment that the same holds true for guys also.isn't it? well, i shdnt be askng questions as im here to answer..............I think people have break the limits which were pre-set by the older generations.....western culture has also influenced a lot in terms of the enjoyment due to which drinking, smoking at younger age , sex/physical relationshiips (before marriage) have become a common phenomenon......fake love (which is misunderstood as love by either of the sexes), increased risk taking factors, live-in relationships, frank view exchanges among both the sexes, improved precautionary measures to avoid pregnancy, getting married at later stages, pornography, studies/jobs outside the parental places etc. are some of the major reasons..................hope that serves the purpose..............so you better stay virgin!!! lol

It has to do with alot of things.........
1) Some parents now days are to busy to teach their kids the whole reason for saving yourself til marriage!
2) If they lack something in their life from a parent they will feel like they get it from that person, and they may think sex is real love!
3) Pier pressure is a huge factor
4) They think it's so cool and popular everybodys doing it so they get to curios and want to see what it's all about!!!

modern society is a lot more liberal than it was 100 years ago, when religous/ethical tradition played a much larger role. Also, there is a trend to marry later in life - who wants to be a virgin until they're 30 years old?
there has been a stigma that sexuality is sinful and should be repressed, and people were taught to feel guilty about their sexuality. Society has reacted to that by going in the opposite direction, and openly encouraging and promoting it - young people feel pressured to become sexually active from an early age, due to the media and society.
It would be nice to find a balance, rather than going to either extreme - Sexuality is not sinful, its a natural aspect of life, that has become far too much the focus in our society.

Society has made this acceptable. They say it's ok to test the waters. It's morally not ok to test the waters. Most girls of today have come from broken homes and are seeking out male attention that they lacked from their fathers. Young women want to be loved and more often than not they feel that having sex with someone gives them the love they are looking for. YOUNG WOMEN EVERYWHERE, HAVING SEX WITH SOMEONE WILL NOT MAKE THEM LOVE YOU!!!! We live in an age where sex is nothing special anymore, people are having sex to kill boredom. I grew up in the 80s when our motto was sex, drugs, rock-n-roll, like the 60s with Peace, love and harmony and the 70's cocaine and disco phase. The children that those of us growing up in 80's had children born sometime in the 90s are now young men and women living life based on examples from the lives we led. If we want to change the worlds perceptions we have to start with ourselves.

I think virginity is overrated. It's fine if some people want to save themselves for someone special. But i find that most people have sex for fun. It's something you can do to pass the time. Just like hanging out at the mall.
