it seems to me that during interviews, people need to sell themselves in order to be accepted. I was just wondering if humbleness works in an interview... thanX for reading...;)

Depends. You really have to cater to the type of person interviewing you to be humble. Being humble is great (and much easier) if you have a powerful resume for the position.

Playing the humility card can run the risk of certain things like appearing unenthused or can make you seem like you seem much less charismatic.
You just gotta be sure to watch yourself and recognize what kind of interviewer you are dealing with.

If the interviewer praises the strong point on your resume it much easier, of course, to be humble.
However if the interviewer only asks you things along the lines of "why are you a good asset?", yeah humility may not be a good stragey for that interview.

So... yeah, play it by ear. Always try to include some humor. A friend once said that in a good interview it should almost appear as if the interviewee is (mildly) flirting with with the interviewer.

You should be humble but not much. You should act confidently or otherwise the interviewer might be a bit un comfortable for you to be accepted for the job. But you should not sell yourself. If the person asks money then make a police report

It does but not too humble that you cannot sell yourself. You need to be confident and act responsibly even while answering your questions.
