1. (Deep Purple Boss - Keyboarder) Jon Lord said in his interview 1974: I like Beatles, but one can´t get always a great bright future career for 100 years, not even Elvis nor Lennon-Mc Cartney.
2. (Led Zep Boss - Guitarist) Jimmy Page said in his interview 1970: Beatles were great, but we are not the same band like them, our music is not very influenced from them. We are more concentrated in a Heavy Trashed Rock N Roll, a Blues tradition and a celtic folk elements, what Beatles had never got into them so much.

In Fact, I´d taken my picture together along Mr. Lord & Mr. Page together. Iam proud to be a DP & Led Zep fan.

Yes-although they did contribute immensely to music as we know it, I feel that they are over-rated. I myself prefer the Doors, Zep, and/or Floyd to the Beatles any day of the week.

I don´t think so, and here are my reasons why:

1. First of all, they changed behaviorial patterns: long hair. Up until then, guys wore either beach boy crew cuts, or short hair. The Beatles were the first main stream group to sport long hair, and not only every American teenager, but teenagers throughout the world began imitating them.

2. Evolution: The Beatles from their very first recording, unlike groups that came before them, evolved. Listen to SHE LOVES YOU YEAH YEAH, and then listen to NORWEIGAN WOOD. Their music evolved throughout the years, becoming more complex and sofisticated.

3. Cross Over: Even Frank Sinatra adapted and sang Beatle Songs... Ever hear his rendition of SOMETHING... It´s beautiful...
Ever hear Sarah Vaugh´s BLACKBIRD... The Beatles music became standard hits for singers who had nothing to do with Rock and Roll.

4. TIME: Until today, you can hear the Beatles, or a Beatles song playing on almost any radio station in the world.

Were they overated... My God, I wish I was over rated as they were....

No.......and by the way, its pretty weird telling us to just reply yes or no. Most young people dont appreciate the good old music. But thats ok. People have the right of their opinion and choice in most anything. To me the Beatles were great. There you have it.

it depends on your opinion if you like them or not. mybe thier history too. they were the first band to write thier own lyrics and own music. they were widly rejected, but continiued anyways because thats what they enjoyed doing. without them, we wouldn't have all the music we have today because no one would write thier own music/lyrics. so, do oyu think they are overvalued?

yes.

And by the way, media is the plural form of medium, so you don't need to say medias, as it's already pluralised.
