It's Millions & a lot more than it should be. We all need to keep things in perspective. Cancer research is the highest subsidized research done worldwide. As long as the money goes to these people the longer & slower the results.
In the jobs that I have had over the years. If I took 40 years to get minimal results I'd be unemployed. It's about time the public revolts on these people & demand results & not minimal results either. If they can't find cures then fire them & hire somebody else. These people need motivated to get off their butts & go to work. The results we have seen over the years is unacceptable. How would you like to be 11 yrs old & watch your uncle wither away & die from Cancer. These people,( I use the term loosely) tortured the poor man for 3 years poking him with needles & experimental drugs just to see how it effected him. That was 40 years ago. "Bitter" you bet I am. Plus they took all his assests & left my aunt with 5 children in the street. If it was up to me these so called doctors wouldn't get another dime.

i doubt very much. a lot of the smoker education is paid for by tobacco companies as part of their lawsuit agreement. thel;awsuit money has been misused. in ohio they used it to continue the e-check program(a failed experiment, that is now gone). it was supposed to go for health care. billons are taken in annually from the taxes on tobacco. if everyone quits, other taxes will go up to pay for the loss.
