If you came from a non-EU country there is a duty free allowance which I think is still 200 or 400. [Quite enough for anyone!] Certain places are not EU Canary Islands for one.

If you came from EU there is no limit for personal use but cigarettes do go stale so a rule of thumb is the number that will last for 6 months. When they were seized you would have been given a document by the Customs Officer. It explains what to do. You can go before a Tribunal or start proceedings in the magistrate's court but there are time limits so do not delay

Where had you come from and how many was it?

well, can you blame them??? have you seen the prices of sigs here??? and it's worse in england so they have to seize them, in spain it's really cheap to buy sigs, and they can only seize what is too much for you to bring into the country, you cna't be smokin that much now can you??? guess that'sa sign if any to say you need to cut down on smoking if they really were for your own smoking habbit hahahaha goodluck
