There is the webpage of the German railway Deutsche Bahn, which has an English search and is free:
http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en?ld=212.19&searchMode=ADVANCED&
You can enter not only train stations but also Points of Interest. This search engine allows you to search connections between train stations, addresses or other points of interest. If you use an address search you also get the bus, tram and underground connections between the addresses or from an address to the next train station.
The full search with all buses and such is only available for Germany.
The train only search covers all Europe.

This question cracks me up....Becasue of its realativly small size European transport of all types is so extensive I don't think it could be put on a single legible map. You should not have trouble finding their tremendous public transport system taking you anywhere, but I think itldmpler if you picked a mode of travel..
