In a few months you won't be getting enough sleep so try to enjoy it while you can.

Yes, I believe it's quite normal during pregnancy.

I am in my 7th month of pregnancy and I get very sleepy also. When I stay at home on my days off (I still work) I usually "allow" myself to be "lazy" and take a nap if I need it. Sometimes I sleep for an hour or more after I eat breakfast. Babies take a lot out of you and so I feel that it won't cause any harm. I don't know about every day napping, but if you are that tired by all means NAP! Your body is your biggest clue as to what you need.

It's normal, you're putting a lot of energy into making a new baby, and the last trimester the baby doubles in size...that's a lot of calories expended. However, make sure that you're blood pressure is staying down, and that you're not swelling at all, sometimes preeclampsia's first signs are excess sleepiness. But like I said, sounds normal to me...I know I am exhausted whenever I'm pregnant.

If you feel groggy when you wake up, eat an apple, take a little walk, and you'll feel better in no time. You won't put on any excess weight, it's probably no different then when you're at work at sitting at a desk.

Good luck with your pg, and happy delivery.

I'm 6 months and I have been tired this whole pregnancy I think it's strange I do exactly what you do I'll have lunch then take a nap and I wake up feeling groggy like I got drunk or something and I sleep at night well not too much recently but I'm worried about the same things you are.

I bet I sleep more than you do! I'm in my 5th month and sleep probably 14 hours out of 24. I sleep a lot during the day, but I'm always tired. Make sure you are exercising to prevent excess weight gain and not overeating. You have not become lazy, your body is working overtime to grow a baby.

Enjoy your three hour naps while you can, in a few months you will be doing good if you get 3 hours of sleep per day!

This is all normal.

Congratulations!

Well what does your doctor say? Have you been taking your vitamins like you should?
It is normal to be tired when pregnant. Try short walks and light exercise if the doctor ok's it.
Sometimes if a person gets too much sleep they will become sleepier.
Just ask your doctor what you should do. he is there to give you the answers

i worked right up until i was in labor, but i did get tired towards the end. if i wasn't working, then i probably would have been at home napping.
also, i started putting on water weight towards the end too. my ankles were non-exisitent and my fingers looked like sausages!

i would just go with the flow. go back to work or keep busy volunteering, unless the dr wants you on bedrest.

take care)
