Crown makes the best power amps for the buck, i think your talkin about regular amps for individual instrumentation,,, most have their good points,,,,,, i been at this 25yrs or more:)
i use a Carvin T-100( basically its four EL34s with two gain pots in a box, 100watt bridgeable mono or 50watt stereo with total ohms adjustment) i run stereo and use a Digitech 2101 for pre and effects Fane speakers(Hi watt cabs),, love it , tone and gain match up really well, and the Digi has a total of ten continuous controllers for effect, gain, tone control on the fly,, i use an ART X-15 ultrafoot MIDI daisy chained to three Lake Butler MIDI controllers to control any parameter i choose,, from gain to distortion from delay time to reverb size and all effect(chorus, flange,EQ etc.....) points inbetween,,,, in all thats real,, its the sh*t for the most tone and sound in one rig,, i still have the folks askin when we do gigs,,,, "how in the h*ll are you doing that?" any Qs,, just ask :):) love my rig
