i am not sure what would have happen for you doctor to abort your pregnancy but i promise that he would not have done it with out first explaining why to either you or the father. i am sure you or the father would have had to sign a consent form before the procedure. trust me hun they wouldnt have done it unless it was absolutely neccessary. i'm so sorry you had to go through that, but remember even though you arent pregnant anymore doesnt mean you still cant call and ask questions, maybe you should call your OB and have him explain to you what they think happen, i am sure he would do it. they know how hard this can be. and also dont give up, give yourself time to heal and then try again. everything will work out the way it is suppose to. i wish you all the best and i hope you get some answers soon.

I am so sorry for your loss but you do realize that the doctor found out when she did your ultrasound that the baby was no longer alive. Its really hard to understand but sometimes there is just something wrong that makes it so the baby can not survive. IT DOES NOT MEAN YOU CANT HAVE A BABY!!! I had a miscarriage and then went on to have three beautiful children. It does sound to me like the next time you might want a different doctor as this one doesnt seem to have explained things to you very well.

I can't really comment on your personal case, but I can offer this information to you which will hopefully be of some comfort: four out of ten pregnancies terminate spontaneously. I don't know what happened in your case, but all I can say is "try again" - maybe you'll be luckier the next time. Best wishes in your success.

Didn't the explain the procedures and why they were doing them before you signed the consent form? If they didn't have you sign a consent form inform your local DA and medical review board. Best of luck.

yes, I had a spontaneous miscarriage at 18 weeks, the medical community refers to it as a spontaneous abortion. I had no bleeding and had no idea anything was wrong until i went into labor.

did he not explain why they needed to abort pregnancy you have to sign a consent form for any medical procedures and included why it is being done.

You would have had to consent to this procedure. First you say you had no ultrasound and then you say you did have one. Which one is it?
