Well to kill Freddy you have to pull him out of your dreams, you have to have a friend to do this so they can wake you as soon as you have a firm grip on Freddy, and once he's in the real world,kill him the same way you would anyone else. They said that Jason could be killed for good if someone from his blood-line stabbed him through the heart with a specific dagger, but he still came back. Basically, you can "kill" them for a short period of time, but they always come back.

Well, I think Freddie and Pinhead are more like figures of your imaginantion (however real they may be), and I think I would cut the head off of the others if I could ever get that far.
