That isn't fair to you or to your daughter! She has the right to know you! If you are married to someone that doesn't want you to meet your own flesh and blood, you have got a major issue on your hands! It's none of your in-laws business if you want my opinion! You need to tell your wife calmly that she is your flesh and blood and you are going to be a part of her life! Ask her how she would feel if you were telling her she couldn't meet her child! Usually, when you put the shoe on the other foot, people sometimes understand better! I would check on-line for provisions in India. You cannot place a complaint on your wife for that though!

Call your local Social Services Office, Child Protection.
Can't keep your daughter from you unless a court has found you to be unfit.
Contact an Attorney. You maybe able to get sole custody because the child is being kept away from you.

I went through a divorce years ago, had to get a lawyer then went
to court to make sure I got to see my kids but, living so far apart
didn't help. I would recommend you take it to court if you have to
and getting the police involved is the first step.

As you are in India, I would suggest you contact a lawyer to find out what rights you have.
