According to Freud, the snake represents the sex drive of the man who dreams of it. It definitely is not "bad luck" since all dreams have only psychological interpretations. Since your mom was involved in your dream, try to think in what way does she interfere in your sexual life, orientation, needs, expectations etc. To tell you the truth, I do not like that she killed it. Maybe she thinks sex is not right for you because you are too young/so naive/too Innocent/etc.etc.

What a snake really represents, depends ( also ) on your culture and the environment it creates around you. As some respondents mention, it CAN represent the male sexual organ, or - in a more general way - male sexuality. You may feel threatened or menaced, in daily life, even without it becoming conscious, by the sexual or erotic presence of a man. This is also underscored by the fact that, in your dream, the snake tried to bite your eyes, or your face: this is the deadliest snake bite you can get. ( Bites to the face from venomous snakes can kill in mere minutes ).
Your mother clearly represents protection, and shelter. This is very common in men who are in the process of discovering their homosexuality. If you are a man, you may be asking yourself questions about your own homosexuality, or you may be in conflict with yourself over, for example, feeling attracted towards a man.

Hi... Hope I can help..
Snake
To see a snake or be bitten by one in your dream, signifies hidden fears and worries that are threatening you. Your dream may be alerting you to something in your waking life that you are not aware of or that has not yet surfaced. The snake may also be seen as phallic and thus symbolize dangerous and forbidden sexuality. The snake may also refer to a person around you who is callous, ruthless, and can't be trusted. As a positive symbol, snakes represent transformation, knowledge and wisdom. It is indicative of self-renewal and positive changes.

well.. I don't think that such metaphysical issues or subconscious will have the least effect on you. for me as a muslim we have some sort of argument over interpreting dreams.. some say that it is an inherited science .... and some do not agree with the notion..... but my own opinion is that every human is in charge of his own destiny .... that's what I believe in as a muslim :D bye
