snuff him in the middle of the night...
or alternatively consult your doctor, you can have surgery for the snoring, i dunno what they do but it works. help him lose some weight, this could help. maybe invest in one of those anti snoring pillows you can get ( i dunno how well they work) you could wear earplugs

If he is overweight and a drinker - I would have him sleep-tested for possibly obstructive sleep apnea. This can be a cause of snoring, especially in overweight people and if you add the depressive effects of alcohol to the mix you are looking at a doublt whammy.
Some of the things that people with OSA notice is that they do not wake feeling refreshed, they snore (obviously and issue for you) and wake up frequently during the night.
If you cannot convince him to be tested try a humidifier in the room - which may help some, but if it truly is OSA then he needs to be tested because it can be detrimental to his health over all and can even lead to death (very very rare mind you!). There are machines that can be prescribed that can help allleviate the apnea during sleep. Talk to your family doctor about getting a sleep study done.

Well you have so many answers telling you more or less the same thing...so what can I tell you that is different so as to earn the ten points? You could use ear plugs, sleep in another room or whatever, however, I think you should be more concerned about his drinking and being overweight. Promise him passionate lovemaking only on the nights he abstains from drinking and get him to do early morning walks (he gets up at 4 anyhow) minimum one hour a day.

I was watching the discovery channel one day and doctors said that snoring happens because the flabs of gum on either side of your tonsils are very soft so when a person inhales deeply in their sleep the flabs move very fast causing them to vibrate and make the snoring sound.some ppl get cured by getting those flabs cut off.i think its too complicated...so if your spouse wont see a doctor,do what i do,put em on the back porch.Lol

You do have a problem husband, and you seem to know all the answers as well !
The simplest thing you can do is turn him to his side and keep his neck and head as straight as possible. More over, he should stop drinking, go on a diet, lose weight and get a full 8 hours of sleep a night.

make sure he spells out all his stress by sleeping wel for a few days. unless he sleeps well enough he will not stop snoring. go to ure doctor and fetch some sleeping pills. once the imcomplete sleep has been reimbursed he will stop snoring.

You can try breathe ease nasal strips, buy the throat spray, or do what I do invest in earplugs. My husband snores a lot and can't make him stop so I have a box of earplugs on my nightstand.

Get him on a diet. Loosing weight will make the difference. Find him a good pillow. If he doesn't follow, I am sorry but the only solution is that you need to move to another bedroom.

haha---Clothesepin on the nose?
Seriously, I have had my hubby turn on his side and that stops it. Soon as he is on his back again, it is only a matter of time before the house shakes!
They also make a product called "Breathe Right" they are strips that you put over the bridge of the nose that help keep the airway open.

Just don't let him sleep on his back!!! Put something on his back that will stop him from feeling comfortable sleeping on his back.
It's a primitive method, I know. But it is worth a try methinks!
