A Gallas boy is someone who thinks he is somebody IE a class act and is arrogant to go with it.

stephen B has come closest to the accurate description, and I see he is a good rangers man too.

Someone who is "gallus" ( note the spelling) has an inappropriate degree of self confidence.

I remember reading some guff years ago in the "Scots Magazine" where they tried to say the word derived from the bravado displayed by condemned people on the way to the "gallows". But I don't know how true this would be.

A 'Gallas Boy' as you put it, is like an american Robert De Niro, he has the walk he has the talk but we really class them as 'eejits'. All mouth and no substance

A Gallus guy is a cocky swaggering guy who thinks he is the man.
