NO!!! That is not true. There is never a "safe" time to have unprotected sex without becoming pregnant. Unless you are participating in natural family planning (which is VERY difficult and no easy task), it is almost impossible to know when you ovulate. Combine this with the fact that sperm can survive in the vagina up to 7 days, and there is no "best" time to have unprotected sex unless you want to play Russian Roulette...

Get to know your cycle. You will be able to detect your fertile days and if you have sex on every second day on your infertile days you have less than 2% chance of getting pregnant. Same as on the pill but without the pill.
Good luck!

Safe sex anytime... If not on contraceptive a condom is the best policy. Russian rulet is never a god idea when it comes to pregnancy. Don't be a fool get the right contraceptive for your needs ASAP. It doesn't cost you as much as a unwanted pregnancy/ worst still a miscarriage or death due to etopic pregnancy...Take care. 99

It is true that those days you would be unlikely to get pregnant...but it is not 100%. There is more to natural family planning methods that help you figure out your ovulation so you can avoid it. But in using those methods you have to accept that they are not a sure thing and pregnancy can still happen...you are just drastically reducing your odds.

Sometimes that method can work. And sometimes not! My first child is a living example. Birth control is WAY cheaper than taking any kind of risk of getting pregnant if you dont want to be yet. And i dont mean pills, cus I hate taking pills and you probably do too. I have a merena implant in my uterus that will work for FIVE years. It's tiny, hormonal, plastic, not metal. I dont need to do anything. I never got my period back, and LOVE IT! It's not cheap,it cost 500.plus 200insertion fee. but insurance paid for it,phewww!!! oh yeahhh.......:)
