Freddy Adu is an amazing soccer playing and at such a young age... is he as good or better than the new $250 million dollar (for ONE YEAR!!) player David Beckham?

At this point in their careers on the soccer field Adu is worth more as Beckham is not the superstar he once was. But in terms of publicity the Adu story is old news and no one even really noticed when he moved from DC United to Real Salt Lake during this off season.
The pickup of Beckham was mostly about getting publicity and people talking about MLS around the US and around the world.

Adu is yet unproven. Beckham has had a solid carrier but hasn't been stellar recently. Both are currently more valuable to MLS as marketing tools than players. Beckham will be good on set plays this year. Adu will import in play. Both will contribute, but neither will make a notable difference in their team's play.

Freddy Adu will be great at his prime. Right now he's still very young and still learning. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of a player he becomes in the next few years.

How can you even compare the 2???
Beckham played for Manchester United and Real Madrid, which are some of the 2 best teams in the world!!!
BUT,, he is not worth the ****(FIVE YEAR)**** $250 million dollar contract
