It has gotten so bad that I have had to go to the ER twice, miss work numerous times! It is on both sides. They did remove the tube where the pregnancy was. There was no saving it. And I have also been very late with my periods. Has anyone else had these issues?? My period this last time was almost 4 months late!! And it sucks when you have all the pregnancy symptoms for about three weeks before it actually does come and you find out your not pregnant. Very frustrating. I also do not have health insurance, my work ony covers full time employees and I am like 2 days a week shy of that. So I can't always make it in to the doc when I am bursting with pain. So also, does anyone know how to make the trips to the ER go away?

Find an OB/GYN who lets you pay on a sliding scale fee. You do need to go to a doctor and get some good answers. Don't mess around with your doctor. If you wait too long, or do nothing, it's possible you might never have kids.

I am really sorry that you are experiencing this especially after having an ectopic pregnancy. My mum had one when I was younger maybe about 15 years ago and she has always talked about pains in the place where the tube would have been. I dont think they have ever been bad enough for her to go to the ER so I would definately go and speak to the doctors and ask if there is any sort of preventative treatment that you can do so that the pain stops or at the very least loosens up a bit. My mum has had terrible period pain and mood swings since this happened inc PMT, which lasts almost the full month. Before and After the actual period.

You dont want to be doped up so the best thing to do would maybe get referred to a specialist and ask what the issue is and ask for some advice if possible.

Good Luck, but i do think that it will get better with time.

The same thing happened to me and I've been pregnant 3 times since then 1 time with another ectopic but since you know how it feels you'll be better with recognizing those signs so you don't lose another tube. I would go to your ob/gyn because I had very painful menstrual cramps and it ended up being endometriosis I hope you understand that spelling which was treated with birthcontrol pills for a few months but it will make your periods worse but I'm not a doctor and that's why I say office visits are cheaper than er visits make an appointment the bc pills wont make the periods worse I meant the illness sorry

To make the trips to the E.R. go away you must solve the problem. It sounds like you might suffer from P.I.D. or ovarian cysts. I have a lot of experience with the cysts. They are stimulated by the release of the hormone estrogen and usually increase in size as you go through the monthly cycle. They cause great pain and usually burst on their own and are absorbed by the tissue around them. You also would notice that you are affected every other month as first one ovary releases the egg and then the other. I would start looking for resources in my city that help uninsured women get gyn care. Planned parenthood is a good place to start. They should be able to refer you to an income related provider. as long as you put off taking care of the initial problem the E. R. visits are a continuing occurance to treat the flair up. I hope this helps.

you have lost a tube so you have lost a ovary. That will mess with your periods. Good chance you have scare tissue damage. If you can't afford to keep going to the era then you best get to a doctor. I know your pain. I now have no tubes, ovories, uturas, or a cervic's. Think you have some good heads up answers in here, but they are something to take to your doctor. oh and by the way you do not have to pay the hospital in full. you can make monthly payments and they can not refuse you service.

Good luck. The drug ponstant is xlnt for such pains...it helps me a lot. Your Dr. will prescribe the best therapy (pms drug/ pregnancy & contraceptive) for you. Sorry for your lost. I too had my tube chopped off (endometeriosis). Now on ICSI program. Yes, there is hope. Your OBGYN (public) eg. community based family planing association clinics is great place to find much needed medical/social info. Take care. 99
