is the nile river helpful to egyptians now?

We need it to irrigate the land. It is the main source for water at all. We also use it for tourism because there are many nile cruises.
We have a saying in Egypt" Egypt is the gift of the nile" Take the Nile out of the equasion and there is no Egypt.

hi, yes in Egypt the Nile is very important. if u look at Egypt on a map a huge amount of it is desert. if u notice most major cities are near Nile. cuz it better for agriculture , among other things. but anyhow, a large amount of Egyptians live near Nile cities. in Cairo, the mass density of people is a bit of an problem. so the have alot of tall buildings. check this website out i put on bottom. very good information source.
