We have had a series of useless Labour politicians in the Home Office, the most recent two being Charles Clarke (a man who couldn't shave and couldn't grow a beard), and now John Reid a Scottish ex-drunk and communist bully boy who barely knows how to dress but is he the worst?

I agree with you, Charles Clark looked like an add for Toby Jugs, but John Reid is the only Labour politician i like at the moment. I maybe going insane, but he seems to speak with some sincerity, and as he put it when he got the job, " I think I've been handed the poison challis ". Gorden Brown keeps trying to screw him up because he knows he is the only contender for the next PM, so he is in a tough position at the mo. I would give him more time before passing judgement on his abilities.

I don't think we could honour the award on John Reid alone - I think it will have to be a shared honour between him and Charles Clark, and in fact wasn't it Blunkett prior to him? They have all done an equally bad job - and are apparently by all accounts utterly incompetent - ahh just a few more of Tony's cronies working their magic on this crumbling nation.
So the joint 'most useless Home Secretaries award' goes to......the above 3'! I wonder what they each put in for their 'successes or achievements' on their CV entry for Home secretary? :) I'd love to see that!!

John Reid - another victim of Ebeneezer Broon... I thought Dr Reid would be untouchable ..(with his in-laws being Gansta's) ..It seems if you speak out about Gordon Brown - you get the bullet..Brown must have some naughty info on Blair & Co...
Reid is probably the best of a bad bunch...but needs to brush up on his bedside manner..

i dont know about being the worst but i do notice is that they all served a bit of time here in northern ireland and they all seem to depend on senior civil servants and they have made a complete a**h*** of things over here so i"m not suprised, so the answer might be to get rid of all thier"servants" and they could make their own policties it could"nt get any worse could it
