At least with today's technology, you get a warning with hurricanes. While it may be inconvenient, you can chose to leave the coastal area. Flash floods, earthquakes, some tidal waves and such don't always have such advance notice.
So for me the spontaneous ones are the most unnerving.

People who are always worried about what's going to happen to them. Live life to it's fullest and enjoy your time here. Don't worry about things you can't control.
