it depends on what kind of beauty you are talking about, some people can look beautiful from the outside but ugly from the inside and the other way around. the media just over obsesses about the way you should look (when that is not the most important thing in the world) everyone should know that beauty form the inside is better than beauty on the outside. i have heard a lot of people say that "in the real world, the only thing that gets you where you want to be it looks" that is not true, you may be a very pretty or handsome person but attitude is the real thing that will get you to where you want to be, along with the drive to get there. beauty is not real if u think about it, everyone is beautiful in their own way, and everyone has something that they dont like about themselves...even models and acotrs, along with singers. you just have to know how not to fall in to the trap of the media and try to be as beautiful as everyone you see in magazines or in movies. people over obses with beauty, there are so many more things like intelligence and compassion twards others that are more important. people will not necessarely respect you for your looks but for the way that you act and how much class and inteligent you are. the media should not be obsessing over silly things like beauty, but more over intelligence-then maby people whould try and follow that and get a good education. in my opinion beauty is nothing compared to intelligence.

There is beauty even in a rock, flower or an insect. There is beauty in an old tree, a cloudy sky or a clear one. There is beauty in mud and also in white sand. Actually, beauty can be found in everything in this world if you only see it broadmindedly. And since, beauty is found in everything natural, beauty IS an important feature.

There are two reasons: one is that the business of media is to sell products, and beauty sells. The second reason is that the male gender is stimulated primarily by visual imagery, and most media executives are men.

'cos it's easy to look at, beauty is important for people as they can do anything they like if they are beautiful, they do it and get away with it, of course. That's the way our world is, it's all so unfair, but there's nothing we can do about it.

..it is relative. Beautiful is, what we ourselves find beautiful. Not to mention, when looking with loving eyes, even the most unattractive thing (person) can turn to the most beautiful:)
