Thanks to all who have answered. They will be enclosed in a "run" with wire top and sides, and only when we are in the garden/patio so can keep an eye on them too. It was any toxicity in Pine cones and needles i was specifically concerned about.

Pine trees and pine cones are perfectly safe for rabbits (my bunny loves pinecones!)
Just make sure that your lawn is safe for them so that they can't run away. Always remember to watch them carefully, and make sure that they have plenty of shade and water available. Also look out for mushrooms/other plants which might be harmful, and bring them inside if there are any birds of prey around.

yes but you might have to pick a bit of tree sap off after and check for any needles that may have poked their feet. They can move prett fast when they get into an opened area so make sure you yard is compleatly fenced off of have a pen

Don't worry about it being toxic. Most people use pine shavings for bedding.

I've heard of rabbits eating pine needle from Christmas trees and they haven't been harmed. I would let them have the run of the garden but I never let mine out unless I'm supervising them. Too many other things outdoors to harm them.

My guinea pigs love eating pine needles, but I don't know aboput rabbits. Wild ones certainly have no problem with them.
