i work in a rv repair shop and i have seen lots of these. the problem with these is stregnth. when welded to the frame of the 5th wheel, it forms a triangular shape. most people, for whatever reason, seem to go with metal that is much to thin. when getting this made, make sure you get thick enough metal for the frame of the carrier. do this and itll work fine.

I would think a local welder could easily make you something up for a fair price. Something that looks like this>>

Or, you could look around at Home Depots and the like for something suitable to cover it, then have a welder attach a base for it to your trailer.

You just have to stop and ask yourself one question....What would McGyver do in a situation like this?
