Yes and no. Their is equal right legislation in the UK that makes it illegal to discriminate based on gender. So in those terms, yes there are equal rights.
However, the rights of men and women are different in some instances. Sometimes this is quite correct - maternity leave is better than paternity leave, for example. In other cases it's not right at all - different retirement ages, etc.
Also having equal rights does not in itself mean that equality exists yet. Men are paid more than women for the same jobs. Men are more likely to be in the top positions in a company. So although things are getting closer to being equal, there is still some way to go.

Currently they actually have better rights than a man, for example, if I am naked in my garden a female can report me and I'll be done for indecent exposure, but If I look at her naked in her garden then i'm a peeping tom.
In the past men were done for being gay and imprisonned, there was no corresponding offence for Lesbians.
Likewise last time i told my employer I was going home early because it was that time of the month I was told to stop taking the piss yet the girls at work pull this trick with remarkable regularity. Hradly fair.
