Keeping up appearances and if you do what do you think about it?

My mother had this expensive china she displayed. She would constantly yell at me and my friends not to run in the house. I have the china now and I behave like the character Elizabeth does. Very embarrassing I can't believed I confessed to that!

I can hardly bear to watch it because my mother is even worse than Hyacinth, she's so bad she isn't even funny. And if I'm ever at my mother's house and this show comes on, it's almost terrifying to see my mother laughing her head off knowing that she's laughing at herself when in reality no-one dares to laugh at her in her presence.
