There is a test

Surely the mental age over physical age times 100 isn't logical for old people?
Someone of, say, 70, with an IQ of 130 (which is pretty high) would therefore have a mental age of 91, but a 91 year old would surely be less logical (and the other things that your IQ is based on), because of decay of their mental abilities with age?

I took an IQ test when I was 16, and according to that my mental age was 21. But why would a 21 year old be any more logical than me, or any better at the sorts of questions they ask you in IQ tests? Surely there comes an age at which these abilities stop developing? Also, it seems unfair that if I get full marks in an IQ test (which I'm never going to, but just supposing), I would get an IQ of about 140 or so, but if someone older than me scored full marks their IQ would be a lot higher than that.

My IQ is calculated from a test I took.

Your IQ is the ration of your mental age divided by your physical age multiplied by 100. In sthis sense it will change over time.

IQ tests are designed to asses your mental age - you cannot be given an IQ unless you supply your phyical age.

the types and reliability of iq tests vary, best thing to do is to get tested at a young age, at that point what they do is figure out your mental age from the test based on the questions you get right and divide that by your actual age, then multiply by 100
