Even hard line republicn senators have come out against it. In any election 70% is considered a land slide! So perhaps the country is more untied than divided but the neo cons don't wish to acknowledge this since its against their view point.

So do you think Bush's Iraq policies will be a kiss of death to the republicans in 08?

In his own way, Bush has done more for the Democrats than the Democrats themselves could have done on their own.
To this day I wonder if some in the GOP have second thoughts about helping him steal his first election in 2000.

It would not be a surprise if his support drops even further to say, 22% over the course of this next year. This so called surge is too little , too late. But why did we invade in the first place?

His surge is a defense force plan, from the generals, it truly is an go out plan.i'd imagine that they are going to pop out regardless of ways succcessful that's. The plan, as I truly have examine and really no longer in the politicized mainstream media, is to inflict damage on the terrorist infrastructure as a lot as achieveable earlier exiting to provide the elected Iraqi authorities a probability to live to inform the tale. even if or not they do or no longer is as a lot as them and Bush must have under no circumstances hung round after Saddam grow to be captured and tried to united states construct. Screw united states progression that must be a UN pastime, except that the UN is valueless, toothless and corrupt. i recognize you're not any further asking a question yet fairly only making a truth yet i imagine the troops are popping out of there regardless of what occurs from the surge of troops. the concern for my social gathering, it truly is Dem by the way, is that we are taking this style of position of opposing the troops and the rehashing the Vietnam conflict (which all persons toddler boomers concept grow to be the highwater mark of our lives) that we are able to end getting blamed what occurs in Iraq when we go away. we are forcing Bush to leave there is absolute self belief in the eyes of the international and the vote casting public right here (even notwithstanding we went to conflict with a Dem majority in the Congress a truth we favor to ignore as we did in Vietnam). The media are such lowlifes that even as now they are operating memories about the unfavorable squaddies the favor then be operating memories about the genocide, and so on, in Iraq because we left. And interviews with terrorist leaders loving their victory no longer over the troops yet over the american political scene. which will take position only in time for the subsequent Presidential election. And we Dems can retreat back into triumphing close by elections and campaiging for more suitable constructive garbage collections and parks in close by authorities. i'm a lifelong Dem and in the only excellent 30 years there has been no dumber bunch of egomaniacs in the international because the nationwide Democratic social gathering and our nationwide applicants. so that you probably did not ask a question yet there is my answer.

Its not only the AP reporting this its a great many news agency's!
I think Bush just got more than a slap in the face when a member of his own party compared his speech to the Vietnam days and McCain warned him to stay out of Iran..yes the republicans know they have a uphill climb!
As far as neo cons are concerned, since when have they been able to acknowledge any thing ?

Yes, and its the Special Interest groups that helped Bush get elected that still has their meat hooks out to make a buck off the War, Plus like you said most Republican Representatives are against Bush, except for McCain, but even he said 20,000 troops would not be enough, and his plan a is fail, his plan b is fail = no plan

Basing your views on either the media, polls or both is dangerous.

During 2006, 70% of Americans said they wanted troops to stay in Iraq for 1 year or more, but the associated press and the rest of the liberal media reworded to state that these same respondants wanted troops to leave (they left out the one year part).

I'm happy that most Americans can think for themselves. The trend that I see happening is that far left liberals, to the dismay of many moderate Democrats, are getting louder, more obnoxious, more insulting, and more ridiculous. It was interesting to watch Democrats in the House getting booed and pestered by far left wingnuts.

There is a growing hole under the Democrats that no one is looking at on the left. Outrage against the war in Iraq will put a moderate in the oval office, not a Democrat. From that point of view, Gingrich looks really good.

Yes, but also the democrats were playing ball with the republicans throughout Bush's whole presidency. It wasn't about what was morally right, it was about the publicity. Both parties are worthless.

Associated press = communist propaganda. Its seems amazing that I have never been asked my opinion, yet the leftist liberal extremist propaganda machine tells me what Americans think. Telepathy? Physics? No, anti-US propaganda.

If the Republicans lose, it will be because they have turned their back on the Conservative values that got them elected in the first place.

No, but a failure to supply reinforcements to the troops requesting them will be for whichever party denies them.

I don't that that survey is representative of the way a lot of people feel, just the associated press.
