A lot of conservatives, like me, were embarrassed that Ken Starr (the special prosecutor) was making such a spectacle of the country over this taudry episode.

support...my god how much more did he need...liberals came out like cockroaches saying its ok if you lie to a grand jury about sex. lying is lying and how long would you or i stay out of jail if we lied to a grand jury under oath. monica gate was just the topper. filegate, travelgate, whitewater, the cattle futures fiasco, the health care fiasco, the largest tax increase in us history, the tie breaking vote to tax social securtity (and he had the nerve to insinuate conservatives were at fault here). jennifer, paula, what is...is, the vince foster coverup, etc. this was a MASSIVE attempt at playing the sytsem and was undoubtely one of the most corrupt presidencies ever. the sad part about it is a good portion of the elecorate could conceivably have us go through it again in 2008. H. L. Menken said those who dont learn from history are condemmed to repeat it.

I saw it as a hypocritical and partisan attack by the GOP on Clinton. All it did was galvanize my opposition to Republicans.
