you cannot have past (was) and present (miss) at the same time..your options are

i missed her (talking about the past)
i miss her (talking about now)
i am missing her (talking about now also)
i was missing her (talking about the past)
i will miss her (talking about the future)

Not correct.

You can say "I was missing her" - at some time in the past I was upset by the separation.

You can say "I miss her" - it upsets me now.

The only context in which it would be correct is if there is a beauty pageant called Miss Her and a former winner boasts "I was Miss Her in 2003!"

Or, I suppose, there could be a character in a play called "Miss Her" and someone could say "I was Miss Her in John Doe's production of Miss Her and Friends"

"Was" statements are almost always followed by a gerund - ie an "ing" word

No, it should be "I do miss her..." Or just "I miss her."

"Was" is past tense meaning you "used" to miss her. Also in order to use it that way you'd have to change the sentence to read, "I was missing her." Since "was" is past tense and "miss" is present tense, you cannot use them both like that in a sentence.

No.

Your sentence is incorrect because you are mixing past and present tenses. These following are ways to correctly say it:

I miss her.
I was missing her.
I missed her

No. The statement is incorrect. There are certain rules in grammar. Nobody is perfect though. You can write

I miss her. -- Present
I am missing her. - Present
I will miss her. -- Future
I missed her. --- Past
I was missing her. --- Past ( This could be a sentence itself or a phrase if you put another phrase after it. )

No it's not correct. You could say :
>> I miss her (present tense)
>> I have missed her (present perfect tense)
>> I missed her (past tense)
>> I was missed by her ( this means she missed you)

No because its not proper English grammar. Its either 'I was missing her'-past or 'I am missing her'-present.

It could be a phonetic confusion with the phrase, "I was Mrs. Hur"...and the lady that played Judah Ben Hur's mother in the film could be saying it.

no of course not
the right is i missed her
because the past tense of miss is missed so you can say
i miss you (in present tense)
i missed you (in past tense)
but you can not i was missed you
this is not the right past tense
