Hermit crabls have very specific requirements. Temperatures over 85 F will kill a hermit crab, which restricts the basking temperatures of the lizard. Hermit crabs also require 70% humidity to be able to breath and a deep substrate (sand or eco earth) to be able to burrow. I have little experience with lizards other than iguanas, but if you have a small lizard that can thrive in these conditions it is possible. I say small lizard because the hermit crabs should be larger than what the lizard would consider as prey. This is not to say that the hermit crabs are not capable of protecting themselves, as anyone who has met the big claw of a purple pincher knows.

Well if you physically try and put them together, they will but i am pretty sure they wont because where hermit's live, lizards don't and where lizards live hermit's don't . there is something about the food chain that will interfere with each other so there is a huge possibility that there wont be able to live together

thanks, hope this helped
